If you are looking to buy a really good kitchen knife or even a set of knives you will find it very difficult to find a shop that specialises in selling them. Probably the best that you will do is a small kitchen accessories shops that sells pots, pans, sieves, tongs, knives and cutting boards etc. Even worse, you could go to a department store where you could get advice on knives from the same person that gives advice on toiletries or underwear – not great! Secondly because the store does not specialise in knives they will not command the same respect and discount structure from the suppliers. A specialist store will always buy more of a specific item than a general store; this leads to real savings that are passed on to you, the paying consumer.
By shopping online at a specialist knife shop will only add to the cost savings – no petrol or parking fees for a start. As well as that you can visit the site at your leisure, pop in during a tea break at work or take a look just before you go to bed at night.
